Day 13/14 of #maptober: "Arachnophobia" and "Lost Ruins". I'm mashing two days together again because fuck it, why not? Deep in the jungle lies long forgotten ruins, overrun by some 8-legged residents #maptober2022
Day 9/10 of #maptober: "Tomb of the Dragon" + "Kaboom". Alright to catch up I did two prompts in one. Looks like these lads went a little overboard on the explosives trying to get into this draconic tomb. What treasures/dangers wait inside? #maptober2022
Assassin's Guild I made for my Calimshan game in Inkarnate, but it could be used in any desert setting
Did something a little different for fun. A side-on perspective map of a pirate shanty-town. It's built right into the cliffs of a fjord around a waterfall. I plan to use this in my Chult campaign but it could be anywhere
I enjoyed making the side-on perspective map of my pirate shanty town so much I had to make a regional version of it. I'm not settled on the name but I like the map result. I placed it on the northern coast of Chult, in a narrow fjord in The Mistcliff
Day 2 of #maptober, "Hazardous". I decided to do some precarious rope bridges stretched across a broiling, glowing whirlpool, that may or may not be a portal to the Elemental Plane of Water. Not to mention a few Plesiosaurs just waiting for an easy meal #maptober2022
The small island nation of Tharsult in the Shining Sea, just south of Calimshan
Day 9 of #maptober: "Infested Warehouse". I'm getting a bit behind on the days here but das it. Took me a while to get a vision for this one. Went with a dockyard warehouse being reclaimed by the sea #maptober2022
With summer winding down I can finally get back to running my D&D campaigns, which means getting back to map making. This one is a portal to the Plane of Fire in the ruins of Memnonnar, still active long after the city fell to ruin
Day 6 of #maptober: "Bon Voyage". I've done a lot of water maps so I figured I’d take a different spin on this prompt with a sand skimmer leaving a desert town #maptober
Day 8 of #maptober: "Deep and Dark". I did an underground lake, lit solely by a few lanterns. Someone has built wooden passageways to traverse the lake, but what dangers hide in the dark waters? #maptober2022
I'm running a campaign in Calimshan. Starting the party off in Memnon and I couldn't find a map out there besides the old 2e one, so I decided to give Inkarnate a go and create my own
There's a couple maps of Lantan out there but I wanted to take a spin on it. Can't have a swashbuckling campaign without black powder after all, and Lantan is the home of it. I took a few liberties by filling in some things that aren't published, but I tried to put in all the details that are
Day 12 of #maptober: "Cursed Treasure" In a continuation of yesterday's theme, this is the treasure hoard of the Dragon Tomb. Surely nothing could go wrong here right? #maptober2022
Day 7 of #maptober: "Fog of War". Fiddled with this one for a bit before I settled on this, a battleground with slaughtered men, but no blood on their blades. And unseen opponent, or one that doesn't bleed. What lurks in the jungle fog? #maptober2022
Day 16 of #maptober: "Oktoberfest". I'm falling behind on the days here but this was inevitable. Just did a simple autumn-y tavern feast. I wasn't overly inspired on this one #maptober2022
I'll get back to #maptober eventually. Got to work on some maps for my Chult campaign. This is the Refuse Pit, just outside Port Nyanzaru, on a foggy, rainy day. A stinking, festering pit where they throw all their garbage
A dinosaur pen on an overcast day after some heavy rain in Tiryki Anchorage in Port Nyanzaru, Chult. It's here that dinosaur trainers train the many beasts of burden used within the city as well as dinosaurs for the weekly races.
Day 18 of #maptober: "Luxurious Sewers". A lavish sewer hideout in Port Nyanzaru. Top shelf booze and tropical fruits, along with shady goods can be found here. The thing about the sewers here is there's no rats, but you got Compys to deal with instead #maptober2022
#maptober day 3: "settlement". Slapped this one together quick, but it turned out ok. The swampy, riverside town of Dtakkar. An inland town, part of the island nation of Lantan, but not so technologically advanced as other settlements in the land #maptober2022
Day 15 of #maptober: "Burning Hell". Somehow I've made it halfway through the month. Instead of a straight hell map, I did an open portal to the hells in the deep jungle. It's evil influence has driven nearby plant life mad, thorny tendrils ready to trap anyone that stumbles upon it
A simple village deep in the jungles of Chult. Home for my player's lizardfolk PC
Day 17 of #maptober: "Cook-off". Sticking to the jungle theme with this one again. A batiri goblin tribe prepares to have a little cook-off with their captured prey #maptober2022
Day 5 of #maptober: "Road map". Took this one really literal and did a simple map of road through a swamp #maptober2022
Day 4 of #maptober: "Miners Dream" I did a cave packed full of magically glowing crystal with some underground streams running to a lower level through a hole in the cave floor. Not sure I love how this one came out, but das it b'y #maptober2022
